One cannot teach someone how to create an artwork. It is like learning to walk and takes time and practice. It is the persistent process of falling over and getting up, only to then start all over by thumping your toes against various obstacles. However, with tenacious determination you will succeed and be rewarded with the realization that the whole world lies at your feet.
I facilitate regular workshops and weekly art classes for beginners and advanced students. No previous art-making experience is needed.
These classes focus on essential skills such as observational line- and tonal drawings, colour mixing and application, and basic composition for beginners.
Techniques and mediums explored range from watercolour and oil painting, to printmaking and sketching. Students are encouraged to continue working on their own subject matters once they manage the basic principles. In this way, students can improve their skills by working and practicing on a regular basis.
